How fast are muons ?

Muons can reach 99.4% of the speed of light and their lifetime is around 2.197 µs which means that they should travel 600 meters in the earth's atmosphere and that's what our project is all about

When can we detect them?

The difference between day and night can slightly change the amount detected but it doesn't change that much

At the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year we asked our physics teacher if it was possible to register for the cansat Belgium competition, we talked for a long time but finally decided to join the project, it was the start of a new adventure

Swiss knife of the team. He has some knowledge in various aspects of the project, he is famous for being able to cook minute noodles in 47 seconds

Zoé, RED sorcière

She is the parachute master, trust her you can jump from a plane with her solid parachutes made with all these hard terms of english to define sews

Merve, The Karateka

She can be very helpful to translate text when working on a presentation to show in front of 200 people. If she talks to you about a tatami, refuse to reach her

Zoé, The Party Girl

Litteraly the master of communication, she can do both social networks and antennas, don't be fooled by her appearance she knows how to fight

Robin, Big Brain

He knows everything about relativity, he can talk in public and is a real cinephile, he only got 99% at the CEB in french. Do not talk to him about astrology ...

He made this website, does not use his (is the NSA watching him?). He spends his time coding things because he's very passionated

Primary and Secondary mission

To participate in the CanSat project we had to meet 2 main criterias which are in fact to manage to make a primary mission
to measure basic data such as temperature and pressure then we had to find a mission of our choice, which one you guessed,

Mrs. Coumans

Who is Mrs. Coumans? She is a physics teacher who used to work in research, she got 3 children and lives with her husband (who also helped us a lot), passionated by physics she transmits her knowledge to us everyday with passion.
We dedicated her a special chapter because she deserves it, without her we wouldn't have been able to even start the project so we really want to thank her for all the efforts she puts into the project for us because it's a very difficult project but it's surely one of the best experiences you can live in your teenage years so thank you and thanks to the whole Cansat team.

Mr. Vanstraelen

He joined the project after a few months but is already very useful, he changed our logo so we can make hoodies and caps with it and knows a lot about sciences because he is a science teacher himself. He loves cookies, that's surely why he loves computer science too. Forget about that joke and just keep in mind that he was the reason for a lot of students in our school to choose the science 5 option. (forget that joke)
